Program

WE INVITE YOU TO JOIN US IN WASHINGTON, DC FOR THE CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION AND 99TH ANNUAL MEETING OF THE AMERICAN SOCIETY OF MAMMALOGISTS!

This year’s meeting will offer an exciting program with four workshops, five symposia, two plenary sessions, in addition to the diversity of high-quality contributed papers and posters. Workshops will provide training in using de novo genome assembly, big data hacking, science communication, and student mentoring. Symposia will include current topics in scientific collecting and conservation, Ecuadorian mammals, GenBank to Redlist, murine model systems, and urban mammal communities. The two plenary sessions will feature student Honoraria and Fellowship recipients and the 2018 recipients of the ASM Grinnell, Leopold, and Merriam Awards—Drs. Denise Dearing, Steve Goodman, and Stan Boutin. And we are honored to have a capstone session focusing on the next 100 years of mammalian biodiversity and conservation, featuring Drs. Gerardo Ceballos, Tom Lovejoy, and Kate Jones.
