The 2017 American Society of Mammalogists Conference will be held at the University of Idaho in Moscow, Idaho.

TRAVEL

You have multiple options when traveling to Moscow, Idaho. The three closest airports to the Moscow area are the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport, the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport, and the Spokane International Airport.

The Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport is serviced multiple times daily by Alaska Airlines. The University of Idaho will provide complimentary airport shuttle to and from the Pullman-Moscow Regional Airport only. If you wish to be picked up by this service, please complete the online form. The airport also offers complimentary shuttles to the Best Western University Inn and the LaQuinta Inn, as well as various cab company’s and car rental options.

The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Regional Airport is serviced by Alaska Airlines and Delta Airlines. Several rental car companies are available.

Spokane International Airport provides the most airline options for travelers. Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Airlines, Southwest Airlines, and United Airlines all service Spokane. Many rental car options are available. The Wheatland Express is the most economical option for those interested in a shuttle service.

Moscow is also serviced by Greyhound and Amtrak.

LODGING

There are four options for lodging at the conference. For those yearning for the good ol’ days or to save a few dollars, the University of Idaho dorms will not disappoint and are conveniently located near the conference buildings. However, if you are looking for a few additional amenities, three nearby area hotels have room blocks reserved. Details for all options are provided below. Conference parking will be available.

Important note: Please be aware about possible phishing scams when making lodging reservations. There is no official housing bureau for ASM 2017. All reservations are to be made directly with the various hotels from either the online links provided on our website or calling the number associated with each housing option. Neither K-State Conference Services nor the American Society of Mammalogists make outbound calls for reservations/sales. If you are contacted by any agency offering to make your reservations for ASM 2017, we urge you to not use their services and report this immediately to the meeting planner, Tony Ballard. The rooms these agencies offer are usually at higher rates, are non-refundable, and/or carry a significant cancellation penalty.

Campus Dorm Housing – $50 per person per night

The University of Idaho is offering residence hall lodging for ASM Conference attendees at the Living and Learning Community (LLC). The LLC is composed of suites and each suite has between one and four individual rooms. Suites share a common living space, bathroom, and shower. Each Suite has a refrigerator and microwave. Rooms include linen service of a light blanket, pillow, pillowcase, two sheets, one towel, and wash cloth. Meals are available onsite at the dining hall as a cash purchase.

Best Western University Inn – $119.99 – $129.99 depending on room type

best-westernThe Best Western University Inn serves as this year’s conference headquarters hotel. The hotel is located about 1 mile (20 minute walk) from the primary meeting spaces. This hotel includes a complimentary deluxe hot breakfast buffet each day and free high speed Internet in all guest rooms. For information about the hotel, please follow this link.

After you have submitted your information online, the hotel will contact you regarding payment. This is not a traditional online hotel reservation process. Currently, The cut-off date to reserve a room at the conference rate is May 19, 2017.

Access to high speed Internet in guest rooms is provided complimentary to all guests. Parking is available at the hotel for free.
